Human Resources Consultant
Dearden HR is a successful consultancy business specialising in HR and workforce advice and support to clients. Dearden HR work closely with sister company Kingsgate to provide a total consultancy offering to client from turnaround, stabilisation and improvement to transformation.
Key responsibilities
- Delivering client work to a high standard – on time and to quality.
- Working with colleagues in the Dearden HR team to develop our service offering including developing new products.
- Assisting in working on pitches and proposals for potential new pieces of work. Initially these are likely to be within the NHS.
- Develop key working relationships with clients. Our ongoing relationships with clients are key to our ability to win future business.
- Becoming involved in all aspects of working in and running a small but rapidly growing business. This will therefore entail working on a variety of ad hoc projects and therefore a high degree of flexibility will be required. The nature of this role will be fluid and therefore many ad hoc projects will need to be completed as business need arises. Some of these may be administrative in nature but are key to the day-to-day running of the business.
Prior knowledge and experience
- University education to degree (Masters level desirable) or equivalent
- Considerable professional HR experience with a demonstrable track record of achievement
- Experience working as an HR Business Partner or equivalent
- Consultancy experience an advantage but not essential
Skills and attributes
Attitude of mind including curiosity and a genuine ability and willingness to learn are essential and are important than experience.
- The ability to gain and develop trust with clients quickly and to be able to forge long term relationships
- Evidence of ability and willingness to be able to gain credibility in front of clients with sound presentation skills and self-confidence
- Able to show empathy and compassion whilst also being able to deal with issues decisively and effectively
- Sound organisational and project management skills, being able to work to short deadlines
- Curiosity and a keenness to learn
- A sense of humour!
Also….
- Willingness to work extra hours when required
- IT literate – at least intermediate MS Office
- Content to work on one’s own and as part of a team
- Will need to be prepared to work anywhere in the UK as business demands
